Welcome to Meng's Martial Arts of Cincinnati.  We teach Shaolin Kung Fu; Qi Gong, San Shou, and Wing Chun.  Our training process is referred to as the “Shaolin Halls” method.  We teach our students in the same manner that was taught in the Southern Shaolin Temple over 350 years ago.  Our training begins with the "First Hall" where the student learns Gei Bun Gong (Basic Exercises) and in the “Second Hall” they learn Gei Bun Dong Jok (Basic Movements) to build a foundation for martial arts.  The training continues through the "Third Hall” with training in San Shou fighting using their four Combat Skills; Ti (Kicking), Da (Striking), Suai (Throwing), and Na (Grappling).

 

After completing the first three halls the student is introduced to our Wing Chun system that is based upon Wing Chun lineages that can be traced back to the Southern Shaolin Temple.  Our primary interest is in the development of the Body, Mind, and Spirit of the student which includes Mental Enlightenment, as well as, Physical Application.  Our Martial Art is a serious matter and we expect full dedication to our training and a long-term commitment to living the Kung Fu life from our students.

 

 

 

Shaolin Warrior Program

Our Shaolin Warrior Program is for Self Improvement, Healthful living and the development of Combat skills.  We train in ALL of the Ranges of Combat; Long Kicking, Long Striking, Trapping, and Grappling using both San Shou and Wing Chun principles.  See our “Warrior Training” section for details and pictures.  Our Halls of Shaolin concept was developed by Master Benny Meng, curator of the Ving Tsun Museum, in the modern era to continue the traditions of the Southern Shaolin Temple.  There are many secrets that can be learned from the Southern Shaolin Temple if you have the time, patience, and commitment.
