EMAC Tournament Results!

On November 18 of this year, 3 of our students; Alex, Cameron, and Dillon competed at the EMAC Kentucky State Championships Karate Tournament in Florence Kentucky.

As a club, this was our first competitive event since 2019, so when the opportunity presented itself, it seemed like a good time to get back in the mix.

Although, there were a few personal setbacks experienced by members that interfered with preparation, the results were very favorable.

Dillon earned a 2nd place medal in beginner, youth continuous sparring, his first ever stand up competition! Alex (intermediate level) won 1st place in his very first traditional forms competition and finished 4th in his first adult continuous sparring competition! Cameron (intermediate level) did not place but showed great improvement in sparring skills during his adult continuous sparring match against a black belt instructor opponent!

I am very proud of all the students that competed and most happy about the fact that no injuries were sustained. I am also looking forward to witnessing these and other students testing their skills in future competitive events.
