Master Benny Meng
An internationally renowned martial artist, instructor and referee, Benny Meng has devoted his entire lifetime to the field of martial arts beginning at ten years of age. He has been featured in national news and major martial arts publications as among the world's best martial artists. He has fought, and won, against some of the "world's best," both in the U.S. and in the Orient. Master Meng has also performed numerous international martial arts demonstrations nationally, astounding on-lookers with feats of concentration, speed, and special techniques!
Master Meng studied martial arts all over the Orient. He started his martial arts training in Hong Kong (1970-Judo). He began broadening his skills and knowledge with Tae Kwon Do training in 1974 under Grand Master Y.C. Kim (9th Dan, WTF) in the United States. His Additional Tae Kwon Do training included instruction under Grand Master K. J. Park, former Head Judge at the Kuk Ki Won, the Korean Headquarters for Tae Kwon Do. He has enjoyed the privilege of studying under several famous Kung Fu Grand Masters from various styles.
Beginning in 1981, Benny Meng embarked on an extended study of martial arts that took him to: Hong Kong (1981-Tai Chi Mantis and Ving Tsun) Mainland China (1983-Shaolin Temple and Sichuan Sports University), Korea (1985-Tae Kwon Do with the Korean National Team) and Taiwan (1985-Shaolin, Chi Kung). Benny Meng began his Wing Chun Kung Fu training in Hong Kong in 1982 under the movie star Sifu Lee Hoi Sang, a student of Jiu Wan. Jiu Wan had completed training in the Wing Chun system through Chan Yiu Min in China prior to beginning his training with Ip Man. Chan Yiu Min was the son of Chan Wah Shun, the first teacher of Ip Man. Benny Meng's training under Lee Hoi Sang was interrupted after 1½ years of intense study by his return to the United States. He resumed full time training under Sifu Moy Yat in New York City in 1985. Master Meng officially started teaching Wing Chun in his own school in 1987.
In 1994, Benny Meng began another journey through the Wing Chun system with Sifu Moy Yat through private lessons. with Moy Yat's blessing, he began another journey through the system in 1995 via extensive private lessons with his Sibak (kung fu uncle) Yip Ching. The Ving Tsun Museum, the Ving Tsun Athletic Association, and the Moy Yat International Ving Tsun Federation have certified him as a Senior Instructor (7th Degree).
With the establishment of the Ving Tsun Museum project in 1993 and the official Grand Opening in 1998, Benny Meng's passion for Wing Chun research has been fueled at an ever-accelerating rate by his position as Curator. To broaden the knowledge of his original Wing Chun system, Meng sought further research and training from numerous lineages outside the Ip Man family. Benny Meng had the privilege of studying under many Instructors, Masters, and Grand Masters from lineages outside the Ip Man lineage such as Pan Nam, Chi Sim, and Hung Fa Yi lineage. Based on Meng's research, the oldest forms of Wing Chun still in practice today fall under the umbrella of 'Shaolin Wing Chun' a term coined by the Ving Tsun Museum to refer to lineages that still maintain a tradition of teaching Chan Buddhism, Health Cultivation, Self-Defense , and Fighting Skills as one seamless whole and consist of two lineages: Chi Sim and Hung Fa Yi. In the fall of 2008, an additional lineage was added to the list of Shaolin Wing Chun lineages: the Hec Ki Boen Eng Chun (Black Flag Wing Chun) lineage. As of 2010, Master Meng is focused on actively learning and researching this system.
Master Meng's school is recognized worldwide, and affiliated with the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation (USA), the Ving Tsun Athletic Association (Hong Kong), the World Wing Chun Union (Hong Kong), the Fatsan Jing Mo (China), the Wushu and Kuoshu Kung Fu Federations (USA), and the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (USTU).

Sifu John F. Lambert
Sifu Lambert began his journey in the Martial Arts in 1956 as a student of Sensei Eugene Fields in the art of Judo. It was under Sensei Fields tutelage he developed his love of the martial arts. It was Sensei Fields who planted the seeds of awareness, humility, etiquette, and enlightenment in his student. Later in life he would find that Tae Kwon Do would provide another perspective of the martial arts and would study under Grand Master Kyung Won Ahn, and then Master William Scott Sr. He then would embark on a trek into the Northern Chinese martial art of Tien Shen Pai under Shifu Kenneth Ware and Shifu Martin Ware, who are members of the 65th Generation of Disciples in that Martial Art, which would provide the basis for his paradigm shift toward the Chinese Martial Arts.
On October 16, 2000, due to a chance of fate, he found the Ving Tsun Museum (VTM) and Shaolin Kung Fu. He subsequently met his Sifu, Master Benny Meng, and began his training in Ip Man Wing Chun Kung Fu and continued in Shaolin Wing Chun.
Bai Si
He performed his Baai Si under his Sifu, Master Benny Meng on November 16, 2003. On January 22, 2005, under the tutelage of Master Benny Meng he was promoted to Sifu and began his lifelong commitment as a teacher and began teaching private students. On September 19, 2007 he opened Meng’s Martial Arts of Cincinnati and was Certified, by his Sifu, Master Benny Meng, as an official Meng’s Martial Arts Instructor. As the Principle Partner and Head Instructor of Meng’s Martial Arts of Cincinnati, Ltd. he teaches; Shaolin Kung Fu, Qi Gong, San Shou, and Wing Chun. The training process is referred to as "The Halls of Shaolin" method. He teaches his students in the same manner that was taught in the Southern Shaolin Temple over 350 years ago. It is from these roots that he developed the Shaolin Warrior program that forms the basis for his teachings. Beginning in 2010 Sifu Lambert will be following his Sifu in the research and study of Hek Ki Boen Eng Chun (Black Flag Wing Chun).
The Mission Statement of Meng’s Martial Arts is “Teaching life skills through martial arts.” Sifu Lambert is dedicated to the development of his students by training them in the life skills necessary to succeed, using the discipline, etiquette, and focus required in martial arts as a foundation.
Having served as a mentor and volunteer for the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, and founding the EXCEL program at Robert A. Taft High School he has been directly responsible for students gaining entrance into colleges. He personally has mentored over a dozen students in life skills and provided them with life changing experiences.
Sifu John Lambert personally strives for quality, not quantity in his teaching. He encourages each student to strive to develop and to reach the highest plateau of martial arts through personal dedication, patience, and the development of their skills over time.
